Rules for using ClassBoard

1. Acceptance

These Terms govern access to and use of ClassBoard. By creating an account, joining a workspace, or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you use ClassBoard for a school, organization, or classroom, you represent that you have authority to do so.

2. Service

ClassBoard provides tools for classroom organization, student enrollment, assignment creation, submission review, grading, reports, and related workflows. We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service over time.

3. Accounts and roles

Users must provide accurate account information and protect access to their accounts. Teachers and workspace owners control workspace content, student access, and classroom configuration. Students may only access workspaces they are invited or authorized to use.

4. Teacher and school responsibilities

• Obtain required permissions before adding students or uploading student information.
• Use ClassBoard only for lawful educational or classroom purposes.
• Review assignments, grading, feedback, and reports for accuracy before relying on them.
• Handle student data according to applicable school policies and privacy laws.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use ClassBoard to:

• Violate laws, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or school policies.
• Upload malware, harmful code, illegal content, or abusive material.
• Attempt unauthorized access, security testing without permission, scraping, or service disruption.
• Misrepresent identity, impersonate another person, or bypass access controls.

6. Content ownership

Users and workspace owners keep ownership of content they submit to ClassBoard. You grant ClassBoard a limited license to host, process, display, copy, and transmit content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service.

7. Feedback and reports

ClassBoard may provide grading, review, annotation, or report workflows. These tools support teacher decisions but do not replace professional judgment. Teachers remain responsible for final grading and classroom decisions.

8. Third-party services

ClassBoard may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, storage, email, analytics, security, or payments. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if a user violates these Terms, creates risk, causes harm, or uses the service unlawfully. Users may stop using the service at any time. Some data may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

ClassBoard is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, ClassBoard will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities.

12. Indemnity

If you use ClassBoard on behalf of an organization, that organization agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold ClassBoard harmless from claims arising from misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or content submitted through its workspace.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
